About Lazomis QI

Clinical audit and quality improvement are essential to safer, more effective healthcare, but completing them can involve unnecessary administrative work. Clinicians are often expected to design projects from scratch, build spreadsheets, calculate results manually and create reports and presentations separately.

Lazomis QI was developed from direct experience of those practical difficulties. Its purpose is to make well-structured improvement work easier to start, easier to complete and easier to demonstrate—without removing the professional judgement or local governance that meaningful improvement requires.

Lazomis QI brings the main stages of an audit or quality-improvement project into one structured workflow. Healthcare professionals can use ready-built projects or develop their own, collect anonymised audit data, review automatically calculated findings, plan improvement actions, undertake further measurement and generate professional outputs from the same project.

Depending on the project, outputs can include structured data, dashboards, audit reports, executive summaries, presentations and evidence suitable for professional portfolios and ARCP review.

Lazomis QI supports individual healthcare professionals, clinical teams and healthcare organisations.

For individual professionals, it reduces the time and technical work involved in completing a credible audit or quality-improvement project. For organisations, it is being developed to support consistent project governance, coordination, oversight and reporting across departments and services.

Lazomis QI supports clinical work; it does not replace clinical judgement. Healthcare professionals remain responsible for selecting appropriate standards, checking the quality of their data, interpreting their findings and approving the actions and outputs arising from their projects.

The platform distinguishes between fixed calculations and AI-assisted features. Where AI is used, it provides suggestions or draft content for professional review rather than making clinical decisions. Further detail is set out in our AI Policy.

Lazomis QI is designed for anonymised clinical audit and quality-improvement data. Patient-identifiable information must not be entered. It does not require patient names, NHS numbers, hospital numbers, full dates of birth, addresses or identifiable free text.

Our aim is to remove avoidable administrative barriers from clinical audit and quality improvement so that healthcare professionals can spend more time understanding care, acting on their findings and demonstrating meaningful improvement.

Lazomis QI is not simply a data-collection tool. It is intended to support the complete journey from a clinical question to measurable improvement and credible evidence.
